Dining Room Reveal
I had my dining room wallpapered in a Chinoise for several years now, which is a long time for me!
I have been putting off painting it because I dreaded renting out the steaming and taking the wallpaper off, especially in the July heat.
However, I happened to notice a piece of the wallpaper starting to peel off, so, I started to peel it off, and voila, the entire strip of paper came off in one fell swoop. So, here we go.. I stripped the whole room in less than an hour. I couldn’t believe it. It must have been the paste I used.
Inspired by Kari Ann from Thistlewood Farm, and her lovely Dining Room, I decided to try her paint color which is Anonymous from Sherwin Williams. I was afraid it would be too dark, but the room gets a lot of light so it worked out ok.
I brought in as much light with accessories I had around the house. I have a lot of white dinnerware, candlesticks, vases, pitchers, etc… so I put them to good use throughout the room and wall. I love my plate rack that I got at Homegoods a few years ago. That has been in my kitchen, breakfast room, and dining room. Love it!
